Give blood and get free ice cream

The Rotary Club of Simi Sunset will sponsor a blood drive on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Paul's Italian Villa, 2585-I Cochran St. in Simi Valley.

All volunteer blood donors will receive a free pint of Haagen Dazs ice cream.

Appointments are required to donate blood and are available between 4 to 8 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call Kelley Gilliland at (805) 527-6050.

To be eligible to donate blood, a person must be at least 17 years old, be in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and have a picture ID.

The entire process takes about 45 minutes, while the actual donation will only take about 10 minutes.
