Simi teen linked to February shooting in T.O.

Two teenagers have been arrested by the Thousand Oaks Police Special Enforcement/ Gang Unit and charged with attempted murder.

Simi Valley resident Christian Alex Gomez, 18, and a 17year-old male from Thousand Oaks allegedly were involved in what police describe as a gangrelated shooting on Feb. 3.

The shooting took place in the 600 block of Avenida del Platino in Newbury Park.

A male juvenile was shot through the arm while standing outside his mother's home.

The arrests were made at the suspects' homes. Gomez lived in the 2600 block of Belburn Place in Simi Valley, where police showed up and executed a search warrant on Tuesday. Gomez was booked at the Ventura County Sheriff's Department pretrial detention facility.

His bail was set at $1 million.

The 17-year-old suspect lived with his mother in the 400 block of East Hillcrest Drive.

A search warrant was also executed at his home.

He was booked at the juvenile justice facility.
