Softball registration opens

Simi Valley Girls Softball, a nonprofit organization, is holding open registration for girls ages 4 to 17 to play fast-pitch softball for the 2008 spring season.

Information and registration days are scheduled at Simi Valley Town Center's west end from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 and 8, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.

Additional registration will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 and 10 at Big Sky Park, 2251 Lost Canyons Drive, Simi Valley.

A copy of the birth certificate is required for new players. Registration closes Nov. 30, with late registrants placed on a waiting list.
