SSHS drama premiers tonight at 7

The children's theater department of Santa Susana High School will present "A Thousand Cranes" at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 and at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 in the Drama Studio/Black Box Theatre at the high school, 3750 E. Cochran St., Simi Valley.

Written in 1988 by playwright Kathryn Schultz Miller, "A Thousand Cranes" is based on the true story of Sadako Sasaki, a Hiroshima resident who was 2 years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on her city in 1945.

General admission is $12, and $10 for children age 12 and under, boosters and thespians.

There will be no intermission. Refreshments will be served after the show.
