Child health insurance bill in need of your help

The president's veto of federal legislation to expand the State Children's Health Insurance Plans (SCHIP) is a historic setback for millions of children and families who need medical insurance.

No government program has been more successful in helping children receive critical preventive care, including immunizations, hearing and vision exams, and regular checkups, particularly in California.

We all know that healthy children are much more likely to succeed in school and to become strong contributors to our democratic society.
