Dems to discuss decline in housing market

The Simi Valley/Moorpark Democratic Club will host its October meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Simi Valley Library community room, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley.

Speakers will discuss the global economy and how it affects community economy, with a focus on the housing market and the consequences of increased foreclosures.

Members who bring a friend to the meeting will be entered in a raffle to win a Borders bookstore gift certificate. There will also be a used book trade.
