Program helps ex-soldiers find civilian jobs

The Armed Forces Support Foundation Hire A Hero program recently launched their semiannual fundraising campaign with a goal of collecting more than $2 million dollars.

Hire A Hero is a nonprofit program designed to help the military community network and find careers and training opportunities. Employers can list jobs and the military community can use the service at no cost.

A variety of services are available to employers. Corporate sponsorships are available.

The Armed Forces Support Foundation was established in 1998 and is organized as a nonprofit entity. Through the foundation's Hire A Hero program, active and transitioning military personnel, veterans, National Guard members, reservists and their spouses have access to an online community that helps them network into quality job opportunities and training
