Take Your Simi Valley Acorn on Vacation

AT ANCHOR- Greg Snyder of Simi Valley took this vacation photo of his wife, Renee, while their boat was anchored in a secluded bay of Lake Tahoe.
Here's How:

1. Send a color print depicting vacation scenery and local residents displaying the front page of any week's edition of the Simi Valley Acorn.
2. Tape a 3-by-5 card on the back describing the vacation destination and listing people's names (from left to right). Include the entrant's
name, address and telephone number.
3. For digital photos, e-mail the original file from the camera, saved as a JPEG, (include info as above) to: vacation@theacorn.com.
4. Mail entries to: Take Your Acorn On Vacation, Simi Valley Acorn, 30423 Canwood St., Ste. 108, Agoura Hills, CA 91301.
5. Many photographs (including mostly non-winners) will be printed in the Simi Valley Acorn. Photos cannot be returned.

ON THE ROAD- Local members of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club Ventura chapter stop at the Avenue of the Giants sequoia forest on the border of California and Oregon. The group rode more than 2,300 miles along the coast.
GOOD DAY SUNSHINE- Young Simi Valley residents play in the sand while camping at Carpinteria State Beach.
A HIGHLAND FLING- Dan Gott and his wife, Dianne Leigh, stop to smell the heather in Weem, Scotland. Behind the Simi Valley residents is Menzies Castle.
ROUGH WATERS- Danny, Debbie, Ed and Hayley Reshew of Simi Valley stand atop a black volcanic outcropping where the waves crash on the rocks. They're on the Ke'anae Peninsula on the road to Hana in Maui, Hawaii.
COINCIDENCE- Monica Ruiz and Kevin Vanderlinder ended up in Cabo San Lucas when a hurricane diverted them from Cancun. There they met their neighbors, the Orozcos, and another Simi Valley family, the Pascuas.
