Simi has quality hotels available Simi Valley is not without quality hotels. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library brings many visitors to the city of Simi Valley, and those visitors do not stay outside of the city. Eliav Appelbaum writes that the city is looking to attract a luxury hotel to accommodate visitors, but makes no mention of the many quality hotels located within minutes of the library. While it may not have a fivestar hotel, Simi Valley offers a wide range of hotel accommodations. The Grand Vista Hotel is an upscale hotel that gladly hosts library visitors on a regular basis, with upscale amenities and great customer service, including complimentary shuttle transportation to and from the library. The Grand Vista has seen not only an increase in leisure travelers making day trips to the library, but quite frequently hosts tour groups and corporate groups that hold meetings and events at the Air Force One Pavilion. President Bush himself has even checked into the Grand Vista. The community might possibly benefit from a luxury hotel, but the Acorn's article was negligent in not mentioning any of the city's fine hotels, such as the Grand Vista, Courtyard by Marriott, Best Western Posada Royale and Suites, Holiday Inn Express or Extended Stay America.
