Church is responsible for creating situation

The city acted only after the church made a public political statement.

If all they really wanted to do was hide someone and let them live here, they could have done it and no one would have known the difference, such as in the case of Anne Frank.

But no, they were seeking the publicity, and now they have to deal with the consequences of their decision.

I can only hope that the courts agree with the city. The church created the issue, not the city.

I believe that the church should lose its tax-free status for blatant political activity. It is certainly interesting that those that call the loudest for the separation of church and state have no problem with this type of open political activity by a church. Dick Thomas Simi Valley
