More thoughts on UCC and 'Liliana'

I thank you, Joy Lomenick. I did call the police in Simi Valley to ask what was going to be done about the illegal alien that was living on the church grounds asking for sanctuary.

I was told by the police that they knew nothing about it, yet 15 minutes later, the chief of police came on the TV stating that if the immigration asked them, the police would go onto the grounds of the church and arrest the woman.

With what I know, I believe her husband is American, but that does not make her American, so she is here illegally. She is now living in a four-bedroom house on the church grounds.

I, too, agree with you about the tax-free status being taken away from the church. If they can afford to pay for a family that is here illegally, then they can afford to pay taxes.

I also wrote a letter to the Acorn last week about the discrimination of David Duvos. I called the school district and was told that everything in the letter that David wrote was not correct. They asked me to pull my letter- which I did. I, too, was outraged; the Mexicans would soon cry discrimination if it happened to them.

I am beginning to wonder if English is still spoken in the U.S.A. Try to buy a hamburger.

I would also like to thank Mark Buchler. He, too, did a terrific job. Keep up the good work; maybe we can get someone to take notice of us. Betty Ahuna Simi Valley
