TV program showcases talents of local writers

ORIGINAL VOICES- Readers Theater Television is back on cable and public access TV for a sixth season. In the front row, from left, are Michael Aronovitz, Regina Mocey and Bridgette Lindgren. Readers Theater Television began its sixth season at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 on Time Warner Cable with "Noir," written by Ray Malus of Woodland Hills.

The reading featured Tim Gallagher of Oak Park, Tim Holtwick and Srinivas Kanury of Simi Valley, Bridgette Lindgren and Matt McGee of Thousand Oaks, Michael Aronovitz and Regina Mocey of Agoura Hills and Paul D. Roberts of Los Angeles.

Readers Theater Television produces tapings of staged readings of original plays and screenplays for broadcast on Time Warner Cable, public access Channel 25 in the areas of Agoura Hills, Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Newbury Park, Ojai, Oak Park, Santa Paula, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village.

The project is co-produced by Gallagher and Mocey.

Readers Theater Television welcomes submissions of new work for consideration and volunteer actors and videographers to join in the activity.

"Noir," will run on Readers Theater Television through November.

"Noir" will have its live theatrical debut at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 at St. Martin In The Fields Episcopal Church, 7136 Winnetka Ave., Canoga Park.
