Try speeddating at Yankee Doodles

Simi Speed Date will host an event for singles over 45 at 6:30 p.m. and singles ages 35 to 49 at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday., Sept. 26 at Yankee Doodles, 2830 Tapo St., Simi Valley.

According to event organizers, "While at the Simi Speed Dates events, the anxiety of 'the first date' quickly subsides as the participants experience exciting and fastpaced fiveminute 'mini-dates.' Given the no-pressure of the mini-dates, singles who attend quickly relax and have fun. The room becomes loud with chatter and laughter as the singles interview potential dates."
