Coffeehouse offering a forum for the creations of young artists

Simi Valley's Café Valentino displays a different artist's work each month.

October is Children's Month and the cafe, at 5145 E. Los Angeles Ave., would like to give artists ages 13 and under an opportunity to display their art in a public setting.

The art must be framed and ready to hang, with a label stating the title of the art, the type of art, the artist's name and age.

Artists may use oil, water, pencil or other media, but no crayon art.

There is a minimum of two pieces and a maximum of four pieces of art per artist. Space is limited.

Café Valentino has served the community for more than 10 years as a gourmet coffee house that provides coffees, tea, art and entertainment.

Local musicians perform on Friday evenings and local artists display their work in all media from oils to photographs to animation.
