City sending out message: Don't wait to abate

Property owners who have tumbleweeds, weeds or other types of debris on their parcels within the city will soon receive notices that it is again time to abate this overgrowth and debris.

The Department of Community Services is sending notices, directing that weeds and trash be removed no later than Oct. 31 before they become a nuisance and hazard to the community.

The city appreciates the cooperation of property owners in these clearance activities.
