Take more responsibility for your pets

I agree with the comments made by Ms. George. I jog four to five days a week at Atherwood Park and I am constantly avoiding large dog droppings.

It is not the fault of the dogs but the fault of the lazy owners who allow their dogs to run free in the early mornings and late evenings to do their business. The sad part about this whole dog poopin' mess is there is nothing we can do about it.

The county of Ventura, which oversees dog nuisance issues, is understaffed and cannot patrol our parks and streets for stray dogs. The only thing I can suggest is to watch where you run or walk. Manny Rodriguez Simi Valley
