Orientation slated for Miss Ventura County contest

An orientation has been scheduled for the Miss Ventura County and Miss Ventura County's Outstanding Teen Competition on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. at Moorpark High School, 4500 Tierra Rejada Road.

Deadline for contestants is Sept. 25. The competition is open to young women in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

In the pageant, contestants will be judged for private interview, talent, physical fitness and evening wear.
