Dogs, their humans can Wag and Walk Animal Rescue Volunteers and the Secret Garden Restaurant in Moorpark are hosting a charity walk on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley. Proceeds will help this allvolunteer group continue its rescue program. Participants may walk on the 3-mile path alone, with a dog or with friends. Registration is free, and participants will receive a complementary breakfast with only one sponsor donation. Sponsors make a onetime donation in the walker's name for the amount they wish. Prizes will be given to the walker who brings in the most donations, and all walkers receive a gift. The event will also include a silent auction, a dog costume contest and pet adoptions. The group feeds, houses, spays/ neuters, microchips and provides medical care for rescued animals.
