Housing Authority commissioner position must be filled

The city of Simi Valley is accepting applications for a vacant commissioner position on the Area Housing Authority of the county of Ventura Board of Commissioners.

The Simi Valley City Council will appoint an applicant to serve a four-year term. The board is charged with policymaking, protection of public funds and general oversight.

The board meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays in the afternoon. Members are paid a stipend and mileage reimbursement for each meeting they attend.

The application deadline is Monday, Sept. 10.
