Astronomical Society to discuss future planets

The Ventura County Astronomical Society will hold its monthly membership meeting at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 in the multipurpose room at Mesa Union School, 3901 Mesa School Road, Somis.

The speaker will be Stan Metchev, post-doctoral fellow at UCLA. Metchev's presentation will concern nearby stars younger than the sun that appear to be undergoing planet formation. The public is welcome to attend.
