Take Your Simi Valley Acorn on Vacation

MERRY OLD ENGLAND- Dave, Jeanne and Jennifer Lovick of Simi Valley get ready to storm Warwick Castle in Warwickshire, U.K. The ghost of Sir Fulke Greville is said to haunt the Watergate Tower, now called the Ghost Tower, which is a live-action spook experience using actors, sound and lighting effects.
Here's How:


1. Send a color print depicting scenery, people and the front page of any edition of the Simi Vally Acorn.
2. Tape a 3X5 card on the back describing the location, names of people (left to right), and the name, address and phone number of entrant.
3. For digital photos, please email the original file from your camera saved as a jpeg (include info as above) to: vacation@theacorn.com.

HIGH DESERT- Marion Battles of Simi Valley sets out to explore the wonders of Death Valley. Badwater Basin in the park is the lowest place in North America and one of the lowest places in the world at 282 feet below sea level.
DOG DAYS OF SUMMER- Holly Davis-Beeson goes all the way to Snake River, Idaho to walk her pets, Angus and Sally, who traveled with her by car from Simi Valley.The river is a major tributary of the Columbia River in Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
NUBBLE LIGHT- A lighthouse at Cape Neddick, Maine illuminates the way for Walter Tycz and Gerri Ream, both of Simi Valley. The structure's nickname refers to the barren rocky land, or nubble, that it sits on.
FUN IN THE SUN- Kevin Hale of Simi Valley enjoys a family vacation to Poipu Beach in Kauai, Hawaii. Poipu was recently named America's Best Beach by The Travel Channel, ranking first among 10 "best beaches" nationwide.
TOP OF THE WORLD, MA- Erin and Heather Anderson of Simi Valley witness the awesome beauty of nature at Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument in Washington state.
