Free Clinic therapist passes state exam

The Free Clinic of Simi Valley announced that threeyear volunteer Diane Boyle has passed the exam to become a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California.

Boyle volunteered at the Free Clinic the past three years to complete the training and supervision required to qualify to take the exams from the state Board of Behavioral Science. Boyle also is a registered nurse.

"We are blessed to have dedicated volunteers like Diane," said Fred Bauermeister, clinic executive director. "She is a servant for our community, and all of us at the Free Clinic offer congratulations for her latest career accomplishment."

For the past two years Boyle and fellow Free Clinic volunteer Maureen Kaye have provided an enhancement program for women at the Simi Valley Senior Center.

Since 1971 the Free Clinic of Simi Valley has provided medical services as a nonprofit, volunteer-based community service organization.
