SAME PLACE, NEW NAME- From left, Judy Mikels, Peter Foy, Bob Dougherty and Sue Dougherty unveil the renamed James R. Dougherty East Ventura County Courthouse last Tuesday afternoon. Dougherty, one of the five original members of the Simi Valley City Council, went on to serve as a member of the Ventura County Board of Supervisors from 1971 to 1991. Dougherty was the moving force in establishing the East County Courthouse in Simi Valley.
