Public invited to a moonlight meditation

American Indian Dr. Mike Willis and Dr. Dennis Merritt Jones, Acorn columnist and director of OneSpirit Center in Simi Valley, will present a moonlight meditation and drumming circle at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 24 at Underwood Family Farm, 3370 Sunset Valley Road, Moorpark.

The public is invited to join these two teachers for "an experiential evening of peace and power as they blend the traditions of the American Indian sacred drumming ceremony with mindfulness practices designed to help you deepen your sense of connection with Mother Earth and the presence of Spirit," according to event organizers.

The event will also feature a release and renewal ceremony, ancient American Indian stories, dancing, singing and silent meditation under the moon. Participants are invited to bring a drum.
