Bilingual notices a sign of much larger problem

It's time to stop this insanity.

It's time to take back our country, speak and write English and revolt against "Press one for English" and all other assaults against our nationhood such as "bilingual district" notices.

Since when did the great United States of America become a bilingual country? We don't cater to the Germans, the Japanese, the French, the Armenians, the Italians, etc. Why just the Spanishspeaking? Why is one group of people getting preferential treatment over others?

Do you honestly think that anyone who wants to come to this country to become a citizen is not going to learn our language? It is quite clear that any legal immigrant will adjust and learn English, because to be an American means something to them.

It is also quite clear that anyone who sneaks across the border, uses our system, does not speak English and sends money out of our economy has absolutely no intentions of being an American. So why on earth are we pandering to illegal aliens by printing documents in Spanish? I say learn English or leave. If you are illegal, then you need to just leave.

And this is just part of the iceberg that is going to hit us. If you think this doesn't cost you anything, then think again. We have our own culture, our own holidays and our own society that has been established, yet we are being invaded and expected to change for people who violate our laws! And then we have to pay for it. This is an outrage. Joy Lomenick Simi Valley
