Speaker will discuss universal healthcare

Penny Strowger, director of healthcare for All/One Care Now Ventura County, will be the featured speaker discussing universal healthcare at the Simi Valley/Moorpark Democratic club meeting Wednesday, July 18 in the Simi Valley Library's community room.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m.

A film will be shown entitled "The Health Care Solution: California OneCare."

Strowger will be discussing Senate Bill 840, which would provide health security for every resident with full coverage for life.

A petition will be circulated in favor of the bill.
