Rhythm & Brews Festival coming to Corriganville

The Rotary Club of Simi Sunset will host the Rhythm and Brews Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 28 at Corriganville Park in Simi Valley.

The fest will feature microbrew tasting and contest, food and retail vendors and six bands playing rock 'n' roll, alternative and progressive rock, rhythm and blues, reggae and contemporary country.

Scheduled bands and performers are Building A Better Spaceship, Test of Will, Kimberly Jean, Brett Mikels, Love Doctor and The HipHop Reggae Crew, and M22.

Families are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, strollers and small canopies and spend the day in the atmosphere of the historical movie ranch, which has been home to thousands of movie sets over the years.

General admission at the gate will be $35.

A collectible Rhythm and Brews logo mug may be purchased for $5. Logo mug must be purchased to participate in micro-brew tasting. Price includes four tastings or one beer.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit local and international charities.
