Santa Susana High Class of 2007 standout students
Christine Willson, daughter of Tom and Terri Willson, is a salutatorian of Santa Susana High School's Class of 2007. During her high school years Christine completed the first draft of a novel she hopes will be published some day. She collected food for Care and Share, raised money to help Interact Club and maintained a 4.1 GPA. The 18-year-old, who hopes to write fiction professionally, will be attending Moorpark College this fall. Lindsay Hennes, daughter of Valerie and Bryan Hennes, is the valedictorian of the Class of 2007. The president of the instrumental music club, Lindsay participated in concert string orchestra and production orchestra. The 17-year-old was also a member of the varsity swim team and International Club. Lindsay plans to attend UC Santa Cruz and major in marine biology. Seema Ullal, daughter of Vivek and Jyoti Ullal, is the other salutatorian of Santa Susana's graduating class.
The 17-year-old volunteered at Simi Valley Hospital and was a member of Big Brother Big Sister. She is an AP scholar and plans to attend UCLA in the fall. Tim Buel, son of Tom and Terri Buel, was the winner of Best Picture as well as Best Cinematographer at the 2007 Troubadour Festival of Media Arts. Tim was a member of the Santa Susana Improv Comedy group and served as vice president of the Video Club and the CRASS Club.
The 18-year-old, whose favorite class was film production, wants to be an independent film maker. "Filmmaking is my life and my love," Tim said.
