Park district announces schedule of summer sports camps
Variety of athletic endeavors are available

The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District is sponsoring summer sports camps for children during the summer.

The camps stress basic skill development and game strategies. Preregistration is required and can be submitted at the Rancho Santa Susana Community Center or the district office.

Ryan Meek Volleyball Camp is for children in grades four through nine. Camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, July 30 through Aug. 3 at the Rancho Santa Susana center. Cost is $65 for one week.

Ferguson Volleyball Camp for children ages 9 to 13 will be from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 9 to 13, and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 23 to 27 at Rancho Santa Susana Community Center. Cost is $65 for one week or $120 for two weeks.

Christian Aurand Basketball Camp for children in grades two through eight will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 9 to 13 and July 16 to 20. The camp will be at Simi Valley High School. Cost is $90 for one week or $175 for two weeks.

Craig Griffin Basketball Camp for children in second through eighth grades will be from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, July 9 to 13 at Royal High School. Cost is $75 for one week.
