Fourth of July fireworks show will be staged at Santa Susana Park

The Rotary Club of Simi Valley, noontime club, will host the 37th annual Fourth of July fireworks and concert.

This free event will be at the Rancho Santa Susana Park, 5005 Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley.

Gates opens at 3 p.m. with fireworks after sunset.

Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District and the city of Simi Valley are event co-sponsors.

Local and regional bands will provide musical entertainment, including The World Music Band, Shawn Barry Band, Michael John and The Bottomline, and The Drew Davis Band.

Children may enjoy a special kids section with a rock climbing wall, games and inflatables such as Jolly Jump and giant slide.

Adults have a chance to shop at craft booths and to dunk Simi Valley police Officer Mike Lewis.

Food vendors will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, beer and wine. Responsible drinking will be enforced with a drink limit set for those of drinking age.

Parking options include the parking lot at the Metro/Amtrak station. Overflow parking with shuttle service will be available at Simi High School and Countrywide at Los Angeles Avenue and Tapo Canyon.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and individuals, ranging from $500 to $5,000.

Event proceeds will benefit local charities.
