IRIS SMOOT/Acorn Newspapers FAMILIAR FACE- Simi Valley Police Officer Matt Buchanan checks the driver's license of Simi Valley City Councilmember Barbra Williamson at a sobriety and driver's license checkpoint conducted on Alamo Street on Friday evening. "We don't want to be accused of favoritism," joked Buchanan. Police stopped each car driving along Alamo from approximately 9 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday, checking licenses and screening for intoxicated drivers. At Monday's council meeting Williamson said of the experience "they didn't let me slide by. I had to get out my identification and prove I could walk the line. It was quite something."
