Recycle your fluorescent bulbs at Simi Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart and Waste Management's WM Lamptracker, Inc. have teamed up to host fluorescent light bulb recycling days this Saturday at Wal-Mart stores and Sam's Clubs across the state of California.

From 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., employees at kiosks set up outside the stores will be accepting compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) and fluorescent tubes from consumers at no cost.

CFLs contain a small amount of mercury and should be recycled just like batteries, computers, cell phones, thermostats and other household products.

Simi Valley WalMart is located at 255 Cochran St.
