Pastel artist will demonstrate his specialty
Favored subject is the sea

Bruce Trentham will be the guest artist when the Simi Valley Art Association meets from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 15 at the Simi Valley Library, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road.

After a brief business meeting, Trentham will demonstrate "How to create a pastel painting in one sitting." The finished work will be donated by the artist and given to a member of the audience in a raffle.

The artist trained at Los Angeles City College. His specialty is the ocean and its environs.

Trentham is in demand as a teacher and demonstrator, and leads workshops for area art groups.

A $5 donation is requested from nonmembers attending the event.
