Moorpark College graduates 32 nurses
Simi Valley well represented at May 17 ceremony

The traditional pinning ceremony for the 32 graduates of the Moorpark College Nursing Program took place on May 17 at the Moorpark College Performing Arts Center.

These new nurses completed the Associate in Science degree and will be eligible to take the national Board of Registered Nursing examination.

The ceremony included recognition of the Moorpark College Nursing Association Officers as well as awards for volunteering through the Volunteers 4 You! and Red Cross organization.

The event concluded with a traditional candlelighting ceremony.

Local graduates include Tammy Klegka of Agoura Hills, Amy Rivera of Calabasas, Meghan Sarna of Moorpark, Suzanne Viselman of Oak Park and Marlene Madrigal of Westlake Village.

Graduates from other cities are as follows.

Camarillo: Courtney Fossen, Camille Perez, Malia Nava and Rebecca Dotey-Anderson.

Newbury Park: Nancy Pabon, Jennifer Weber and Autumn Garcia.

Simi Valley: Leonor Stricker, Lisa Garvin, Monica Cervantes, Michele Anzilotti, Jill Boucher, Sadiya Riaz and Nataliya Moysevich-Vashchuk.

Thousand Oaks: Jennifer Ziskin, Jenefer Merek-Savage, Fatana Navarro, Michelle Shakhshir, Kolette Sheppard, Maria Wright and Carolyn Scharf.
