Rental assistance offered

Applications will be accepted beginning Monday, June 4 for the Simi Valley Senior Rental Housing Assistance Program.

Applications are available at Simi Valley city hall, library and senior center, and also at the Area Housing Authority, 1400 W. Hillcrest Drive, Newbury Park, and online at www.ahacv.org.

The program is available to Simi Valley residents who are at least 62 years of age and have an annual household income at or below 60 percent of median income.

The funds will assist eligible households with rental payments for up to two years.

The Area Housing Authority will accept program applications until enough have been received to establish a waiting list. Those who apply early will be assisted first.
