Have a sweet time picking berries by the pound at Underwood Farms' fields

Residents can pick their own blueberries seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Underwood Family Farms' Somis location, 5696 Los Angeles Ave.

Picking begins Saturday, May 26 and continues through mid July.

The farm will provide 1 and 2pound containers as well as a selfguided blueberry trail during the week and tractor rides to the fields on weekends.

Parking and admission are free. Wear a hat and sunscreen. PYO price is $2.95 per pound.

Blackberries and raspberries are available for the picking at Underwood Family Farms' Moorpark site, 3370 Sunset Valley Road.

The blackberries have a short season, mid-June through mid-July, and PYO price is $1.99 per pound. The raspberry crop may last into October, and PYO price is $2.99 per pound.

Admission to the Moorpark Farm Center is $3, which includes berry picking and the Animal Center. Children under 2 are free.
