Farmers Insurance team assists March of Dimes

More than 50 Farmers agents, district managers and employees, along with friends and family from the Farmers Simi Valley state office and service center, participated in the 2007 March of Dimes WalkAmerica at Rancho Tapo Community Park on May 19.

Farmers team members served at the water stations, provided information about the MILK program and picked up walkers who need a lift to the finish line.

"Farmers Insurance is the exclusive national insurance sponsor of WalkAmerica and one of the top five fundraisers for the March of Dimes," said Farmers state executive Bill Matlock. "Today, one in eight babies is born prematurely and the dollars raised go to help every one of them."

In 2006, Farmers Insurance raised $3.2 million for March of Dimes. The 2007 goal is $4 million.
