Carrube named Moorpark Chamber of Commerce's Member of the Year

Peter Carrube was recently named the 2007 Chamber Member of the Year by the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce at the recent annual Top Ten Awards Luncheon. The awards recognize those who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to benefit the community.

Carrube is the founder, owner and chief instructor of Street Smart Self Defense in Simi Valley. He has a second degree black belt in the Korean art of tang soo do, as well as holding many highranking positions in a variety of martial arts systems. He has been a martial arts instructor since 1999.

He teaches his system of selfdefense classes to local schools, corporations and community groups. Carrube also offers his inhome private courses and onsite seminars for businesses. He has given lectures on safety awareness to organizations and educational facilities throughout the county.

"I recognize the positive effect the Moorpark Chamber has had on my business, and it is with great pleasure I offer my services, time and efforts, whenever possible, to help keep this one of the most successful Chambers in the Southern California region," said Carrube.
