Walk for arthritis will be held at Warner Center Park on May 20

SPECIAL BOY- Jake Anderson and his mother, Allison, of Simi Valley prepare for the annuaArthritis Walk slated for Sunday, May 20 in Woodland Hills. Jake is this year's honoree. The walkers will be raising funds for research into causes of and cures for arthritis.
The Arthritis Foundation will host a fundraising walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. Sun., May 20 at Warner Center Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills.

Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Participants can choose a 5K or 1-mile walk.

Dogs on leashes and children are welcome.

The walk will raise funds and awareness to fight arthritis, the nation's No. 1 cause of disability, according to a foundation spokesperson.

Participants may walk in honor of a friend or family member with arthritis.

Those with the condition wear blue hats to signify their action in taking control of the disorder.
