Gold's Gym invites public to celebrate grand opening with carnival
No cost to enjoy a variety of entertainment

Gold's Gym of Simi Valley will host its grand opening party this Saturday, May 19, at its new 50,000 square-foot facility located 1357 ELos Angeles Avenue.

The free event, which is going on from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., features a "community carnival," which includes performing clownsrock climbing, face and body painting, a Monster Slide and a funnel cake truck. Melissa G will provide the musical entertainment and there will be a dance performance by the Hip Hop Fitness Stop and the Gold's Gym dancers.

Residents of all ages are invited to attend.

Several TV and film celebrities are scheduled to make an appearance, including Cris Judd ("Dirty Dancing"), Kevin Dobson ("Knot's Landing"), Danny Booko ("The Fast and the Furious") and members of the cast of TNT's "The Closer."

More than $10,000 in prizes will be given out during the day.
