Firefighter returns home from Iraq

Air Force Staff Sgt. Christopher L. Basinger has returned to the United States after being deployed to Iraq. Basinger, a firefighter, is assigned to the 30th Civic Engineering Squadron, Vandenberg Air Force Base, Lompoc, Calif.

He is the son of Gary and Jodi Basinger of Simi Valley.

Army Pfc. Joshua C. Roesch has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

He is the son of Charles Pence of Simi Valley.
