Woman robs check cashing business on Cochran St.

A woman robbed the "Check Into Cash" business at 3977 Cochran St., Simi Valley at 1:40 p.m. May 12.

A lone female suspect walked into the facility, simulated a weapon and demanded that the manager place all the cash into a bag that she had brought with her.

The manager did not resist and place an undisclosed amount of cash into the woman's bag. The suspect then left the area on foot.

No shots were fired, and there were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic female, 30 to 35 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches and 150 pounds.

She was wearing a large, oversized orange hooded sweatshirt with dark sunglasses and blue jeans.
