Simi High sophomores sponsor car show

The sophomore class of Simi Valley High School is hosting a car show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19 in the school's east parking lot at 5400 E. Cochran St.

The show will raise money for class activities.

Vehicles will be placed in one of seven classes ranging from pre1940 through 1970, and also trucks and imports.

The entry fee is $25 per car the day of the show and registration opens at 8 a.m.

Trophies will be awarded in each class.

Attendance at the car show is open to the public and free, although donations will be accepted. At the event, food, chips, and drinks will be available for purchase.

Owners showing cars will need to submit copies of their insurance, registration and a valid California driver's license.
