Sees illegal immigration as second-biggest threat to U.S. Here are the facts as I see them. Outside of radical Islamic terrorism, the greatest single threat to America today is illegal immigration. Unbridled and unchecked illegal immigration has led to massive challenges to our economy, the medical system, crime management, social services, highways and roadways, the workforce, the middleclass and lowerclass sector, as well as producing a drastic and sudden change to our traditional way of life. This is not a racist or hate-based comment but rather an objective observation founded on 62 years' worth of living in California and seeing illegal immigration expand in an almost exponential manner. Conservative estimates place the illegal population in the U.S. today at 12 million people, with some realistic estimates going as high as double this amount. And yet, even with all the discussion that we hear day in and day out, there's still no end in sight to the flood of illegals who crash our borders and circumvent our laws daily. Whatever the solution is, and there are many being debated, the bottom line is that very few illegal aliens would dare to make the trip to America were it not for the lure of low-end jobs made available by unscrupulous, greedy employers. Although most employers who hire illegal aliens will say they are only offering jobs that Americans won't do, the fact is employers hire illegal aliens because they can pay a lower wage, usually without the complication and inconvenience of withholding taxes or offering benefits that American wage earners have come to expect. I hate to say it, but when you add up all the damage that these low-ball employers have caused to the American infrastructure, there's only one word that comes to mind: traitor. Make that greedy traitor. You can justify the support of illegal immigration any way you want, but I will not knowingly give my money to any business that hires illegal aliens. What say you?
