Acorn photo cast incorrect light on last week's debate

Simi was recently honored to have hosted an important and historical debate.

Unlike most papers and news stories which spotlighted the debate, your paper chose to highlight something very different with its cover photo.

I was shocked, appalled and angered to see this photo of a lone man getting to promote his extremely radical agenda. The caption was made to make people believe he was part of a large group of protesters.

However, as one can clearly see viewing the photo, many of these "protesters" are in fact supporters.

Two of them are clearly holding signs in support of Rudy Giuliani. As noted in the Star, Giuliani supporters outnumbered the protesters. I would like to see your paper acknowledge this mistake and apologize for putting such a negative tone on something special for our city. Tom Kelemen Simi Valley
