Man followed home from work, robbed at gunpoint A Simi Valley man was robbed at gunpoint after driving home from work at 3:22 a.m. Friday, May 4. Brandon Murray, 23, was on the way home after leaving his shift as a bartender at TGIF restaurant in Simi Valley. Murray said he felt he was being followed by another vehicle as he turned onto May Court. Murray reported that two black male adults driving a black early 1990s Honda Accord confronted him near his residence. The man sitting in the passenger seat displayed a semiautomatic handgun and demanded money. The pair left the area in their vehicle with an undisclosed amount of Murray's money. The two men were described as 20 to 25 years old with muscular builds. Murray was not injured during the robbery. The Simi Valley Police Department's Detective Unit is investigating the incident. Police officials reminded citizens to be mindful of their surroundings and immediately report any suspicious activity observed to authorities. |
