Live Ride holds annual Blessing of the Bikers

Following a mass blessing by Pastor Rick Fish, nearly 100 motorcycle riders sped off from Live Ride Church in Simi Valley on Sunday on a 65-mile Scrabble Run through Santa Paula and surrounding areas.

The ride was part of the church's sixth annual Blessing of the Bikers, which for the first time this year benefited Community Pregnancy Clinic of Simi Valley, which offers free pregnancy tests, ultrasound exams and counseling to expectant young mothers.

The event was held in conjunction with the Ride for Life and Walk for Life, which also benefited CPC. Sunday's walkers trekked a three-mile course through central Simi Valley.

Said Fish, "I thought it would be a good opportunity to partner with (CPC) for their cause, plus give the bikers an opportunity to be blessed."
