Huck Finn Fishin' Derby set for May 5 The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District will present the 32nd annual Huck Finn Fishin' Derby on Saturday, May 5, rain or shine, on the banks of the lake at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Ave. There is no cost for kids to participate. The park opens at 6 a.m., and parents are advised to bring their children to the lake as early as possible to ensure a good fishing spot. The event is open to boys and girls, age 15 and younger.
