Chili Cook-Off plans are revving up

Knights of Columbus, Simi Valley Council No. 5803 will host its 20th annual Chili Cook-Off and Car Show at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 10 on the school grounds of St. Rose of Lima, 1305 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Organizers invite chili cooks, vendors and classic car owners to participate.

This event is an official International Chili Society Competition. The first place cook may advance to the WCC semifinals.

Cash awards and trophies will be awarded to the top finishers.

The car show will feature classics, rods, customs and motorcycles. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the winners of each of category.

Booth areas are available for arts and crafts vendors.

Event proceeds will assist the Knights in their charitable work. Last year more than 4,000 people attended the event.
