Woman with firsthand knowledge calls Simi victim's advocate a 'true hero'

In your March 9 edition of the wonderful Acorn, there was an article about the only victim's advocate in Simi Valley, Renee Johnson.

I am one of the victims she helped last year, and I cannot say enough about her and how wonderful she was.

She went to court with me, advised me, calmed me and cared about me.

She saved me from sheer insanity with my problem, and she is truly a lot of people's hero.

I was desperate for help, and she guided me through the process of what I needed to do to protect myself.

She is a huge asset to the Simi Valley Police Department. She is informed about the laws and knows exactly what to do.
